Choosing Your Chair

At TherapyShopper.com we work with you to find a chair that works for you. When choosing a chair the buyer should first consider the style, either Natural hardwood, or light weight Aluminum design.

Physical Dimensions:

Weight: On average portable chairs weigh in at the 15-20 pound range. These light weight options will accommodate the practitioners need while in transit.

Working weight: This is a very important specification it is the total amount of weight your portable chair can support while working on a client.

Height: All portable chairs on the market today have an adjustable height range, allowing for client comfort and practitioner technique versatility.

Wooden or Aluminum:

Today's market includes two viable material options for your chairs. Natural wooden designs made from oak or maple hardwoods are a great natural choice. These designs tend to weigh more but offer a sturdy option. Aluminum designs are extremely light weight, structurally sound, and are able to support the same working weight as their wooden counterparts. Both designs work wonderfully. Your purchasing decision will be based on your personal preferences.

Structural Design & Construction Features

At TherapyShopper.com we provide the buyer with all the information needed to make your choice of chairs as easy as possible. Many features contribute to the structural design and construction of your chair.

Strength: There are two terms used by manufacturers when rating their chairs.

Static Weight: The maximum amount of weight that can be distributed across the entire surface of the table. It is usually established by applying weights to the tables to see the heaviest weight load the table will withstand.

Working Weigh: The total pounds per square inch that can be applied to the specific working area of the chair while in use.

Foam:

2" Medium density foam is used on most standard chairs.

Fabric Types:

Levante Doeskin: Smooth, soft vinyl treated with Pre Fixx for easy cleaning and stain resistance.

Sta-Soft: Similar to Levante Doeskin but protected with BeautyGuard finish.

Ultraleather: Very durable, easy to clean and lightweight. Premium, supple fabric available at extra cost.

* Available fabric types and colors are listed and illustrated on each table product page.

Chair Care

All chairs sold by TherapyShopper.com require little maintenance. By following the tips below you can add many years of worry free use of your chair.

Structural Care:

Inspect the structural components (frame, legs, braces and connections) periodically making sure they are in proper working order.

Fabric Care:

Fabric should be cleaned with mild soap and water, non abrasive cleaners like Windex or Fantastic or with special table cleaners offered on our accessories page. Our special cleaners remove oils from the fabric and help keep your table sanitary. It is advised that you clean your table after each use. Be careful not to use vinyl cleaners and conditioners like Armor All as all our fabrics are pre-treated with protective finishes.

A fitted headrest cover will protect the fabric from oil stains, punctures and tears and if used should be replaced after each massage.

A sturdy carrying case is a good investment for your chair. In addition to providing you with an easier method of carrying your chair it also serves as an excellent storage and protection for your chair when it is not in use or in transit.

Guarantee:

All products are offered with manufacturer guarantees and warranties. We want you be 100% satisfied with your purchase. All products come with a 30-day money back guarantee - shipping costs are nonrefundable
